Dave first picked up a camera in the mid-1980s, whilst visiting North America. A self-taught photographer he is always being creative. His photography explores a landscape of primal material and the human ordering of past and present.
Working in monochrome and colour, Dave uses a combination of Canon film and digital technology to create his unique vision of the landscape, nature and the modern world.
Having now abandoned the traditional enlarger and those trays of chemicals, he says “The tools may have changed but as ever that human element of creativity is paramount.”
Dave now lives in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, England.
